I had someone tell me the other day, after they had been listening to a “true definition” of HOPE, that they understood why they had ‘ruined their lives’ up to this point in time, with drugs. They said, “The reason I did dope is I didn’t have hope”! H.O.P.E. – Help – Optimism – Perseverance – Expectation – is true hope. When we {allow ourselves} to think that wishful thinking - that is not based - on established truth with no confident foundation, we truly don’t see that our only source is the established Word of God.
Hope deferred sickens the heart -- but when it comes “it’s the tree of life”. We have the guarantee of HIS covenant that when our hope is in HIM, HE will never disappoint us. This person we are referring to didn’t realize they were hopeless; only living on wishful and optimistic thoughts that some how life could be different.
Christ in you is your hope of glory. There is no hope to receive from ‘the world’, so why would we look to it? HE said, “Come unto me and learn of ME”. What do you suppose HE wants to teach you?? H.O.P.E.
This is truth that will change your life! Think about it.
